About
Sideline is published by Upcott Studios
Sideline is a directory of side hustles and extra-income ideas for people who want the work and not the pitch. We review the list every week, name the costs, and leave out anything that looks like a scam.

What this site is
An editorial review. The last one was 22 September 2026. Openings are places with a public signup and a payment path you can read before you start. The guides are for working for yourself: how to find the first customers, what to charge, and which versions of the idea are traps. The rules are on how we choose.
Sideline is one site. The other sites from Upcott Studios cover prize draws, cashflow, pensions, and a mortgage overpayment sum.
What this site is not
- Not an employer, and not a marketplace. We do not match you with clients and we do not take a cut.
- Not financial, tax, or legal advice. Pay ranges are illustrations.
- Not a place that will email you a job if you pay a registration fee. We will not.
- Not paid, at present, to rank one company above another in the directory. Book links on the further reading page are affiliate links, and that page says so.
If a listing is out of date, or a scam is borrowing our name, write to [email protected].
