UK and Ireland delivery

Deliveroo

Cycle, scoot, or drive restaurant deliveries for Deliveroo. Free to apply. The money is per drop, and the bike, the insurance, and the rain are your problem.

Checked 22 September 2026. Figures are ranges, not offers.

Where
UK and Irish cities, plus some other European markets. London, Manchester, Birmingham, Dublin, and other busy centres. Not every EU country, and not remote.
Hours
Evenings and wet weekends are the work. A session can be two hours. You are not paid for sitting at home waiting to log on.
Pay
Per-drop fees vary by city. After costs, treat a modest hourly figure as the planning number, not the busiest Friday.
To start
Application is free. You need a roadworthy bike or vehicle and the right to work. Some riders need hire-and-reward insurance. Price that before the first shift.

Why it is listed

It is a named company with a rider application and no stock to buy. The costs are boring and real, which is why they are on this page.

What you can realistically expect

A good Friday does not repeat on a Tuesday in January. If the only way the sums work is a bike you took on finance, do not start.

Who pays you

Deliveroo pays into your bank on their cycle. Riders are not asked to pay a deposit to “unlock” zones.

How to start

  1. Apply via Deliveroo’s rider site for your city.
  2. Use a bike you already trust.
  3. Log one evening and one lunch before you tell anyone you have a new income.
  4. Keep a note of drops, hours, and costs.

Read this before you start

  • Rented accounts are a known fraud. Do not pay to use someone else’s.
  • Offers to sell you a “guaranteed hours” package are not Deliveroo.
  • Check tax: in the UK this is usually self-employed income.

Sideline will not ask you for money. Anyone who messages you claiming we will is not us. Write to [email protected] if something on this page looks wrong.
