Pawshake

Dog walking, sitting, and home visits on Pawshake, which is used in the UK, Australia, and parts of Europe. You set prices. The platform takes a commission.

Where
In person in cities where Pawshake has owners — London, Manchester, Sydney, Melbourne, and a number of European cities. Confirm your country on their site.
Hours
Walks fit around a day job. House-sits need you nearby. Travel time is yours to account for.
Pay
Local walking rates, minus the platform commission — check both before you publish a price
To start
Creating a profile is free. Pawshake takes a percentage of bookings. Identity checks, if any, should be started inside the app.

Why it is listed

It is a real booking platform with a published fee, useful where Rover is not the local default.

What you can realistically expect

A new profile in a busy area can get a message within a week, or not. Photos of you with dogs you know, and a tight service area, help more than a long essay.

Who pays you

Owners pay through Pawshake. Keep first jobs on the platform so there is a record.

How to start

  1. Register on pawshake.com for your country.
  2. Draw a small area you can reach without a long drive.
  3. State what you will not do (puppies that are not house-trained, unfenced gardens).
  4. Meet the animal first.

Read this before you start

  • Do not pay a “local Pawshake agent” to get you jobs.
  • Keys to someone’s house are a responsibility. Label them with a code, not the address.
  • If a booking feels wrong, decline it. There is no penalty for that.

Sideline will not ask you for money. Anyone who messages you claiming we will is not us. Write to [email protected] if something on this page looks wrong.
