Packaged freelance gigs

Fiverr

Sell a tightly described service — a résumé rewrite, a short voiceover, a simple logo — as a packaged gig. Buyers come to you. Listing is free; Fiverr’s commission is steep.

Where
From home, in countries the company actually pays. Eligibility is their rule, not ours — confirm payout before you count on the money.
Hours
A single gig can be an evening’s work. The slow part is waiting for the first orders. Treat it as a shop window, not a tap you turn on.
Pay
New sellers often see $150–600 in a good early month, after a 20% commission — many see less
To start
Free to list. As of this week’s check, Fiverr still keeps a flat commission around 20% of the order. Confirm it on their seller help pages before you set a price.

Why it is listed

The fee is published, the profile is free, and you are paid for a finished piece of work rather than for recruiting anyone.

What you can realistically expect

A focused gig with a real example can sell. A vague gig in a crowded category often sits at zero. The first reviews take patience.

Who pays you

The buyer pays Fiverr. You are paid after the order is completed, on their schedule, to your withdrawal method. Do not take payment in gift cards.

How to start

  1. Open a seller account on Fiverr’s own site.
  2. Offer one outcome, with a clear what’s included and what is not.
  3. Show a sample you made, not a stock mock-up you do not have the rights to.
  4. Price the fee in. A $50 gig is not $50 in your pocket.

Read this before you start

  • “Fiverr success” courses are not affiliated with Fiverr.
  • Buyers who ask you to go off-platform to “avoid fees” can disappear without paying.
  • Very cheap gigs attract the worst briefs. A floor under your price is allowed.

Sideline will not ask you for money. Anyone who messages you claiming we will is not us. Write to [email protected] if something on this page looks wrong.
