- Application is free. You may need to show you know the subject (a degree, or strong A-levels, depending on what you teach). No one legitimate will sell you the application.
Why it is listed
The student relationship and the payment both sit with a known company. You are not asked to recruit other tutors.
What you can realistically expect
Acceptance is not automatic. If you are turned down, that is a no — not a prompt to pay another company to “appeal”.
Who pays you
Parents pay MyTutor. Tutors are paid for lessons taught, on the company’s schedule.

- Choose exam boards and levels you can teach accurately.
- Prepare for a short subject check. Revise, do not buy a prep course from a stranger.
- Fill only the hours you will keep.
Read this before you start
- Social ads that promise a guaranteed MyTutor place are not the company.
- Do not send scans of identity documents to anyone except the official application.
- A quiet first week is normal. It is not a sign you need a paid mentor.
